The Town of Parker and American Academy have amended and restated their intergovernmental agreement for school resource officer services during the 2026-2027 school year. The agreement continues two full-time Parker Police officers, with one officer assigned to each of the school’s two campuses in Parker. The officers will support school safety, respond to law enforcement matters, take part in threat and safety planning, and provide education and counseling. They will remain Town employees under the supervision of the Parker Police Department.

The agreement applies from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Either party may end it with 60 days’ written notice. Under the new cost-sharing plan, American Academy will pay 75% of the shared, recurring costs for the two officers, while the Town will pay 25%. The school will also pay the full cost of certain training and conferences, as well as any overtime or extra duty it requests. This agreement allows dedicated school safety services to continue while increasing the school’s share of program costs.

American Academy has reviewed the IGA and has agreed to the terms therein.

The fingerprint does not cover our retrieval date (the “Data as of” stamp in the source line): re-fetching unchanged official content produces the same fingerprint, while any change to the official content changes it.

If you recompute the fingerprint from the official source and get a different value, one of us is out of date — please report it through the corrections log.
