Later this evening, the City Council will consider revisions to the City’s Short-Term Rental (STR) ordinance. Members of the Council asked City team members to review and revise the ordinance to make it less burdensome to administer, and to help ensure that regulatory provisions were more transparent. As a result, the City team is proposing several changes to the STR ordinance. Some of those changes are set forth in the ordinance, but as is the case with many laws, it is also helpful to create rules that govern the implementation, administration, and enforcement of the ordinance. These administrative rules (“Program Rules”) help ensure the efficient, effective, and consistent application of the law by more clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of the City team members who are responsible for implementing, administering, and enforcing it. The Program Rules also provide guidance for STR owners about how STR applications will be handled and about how those responsible for regulating STRs will make decisions and resolve disputes. This helps ensure that both STR owners and that City team members are accountable for their actions. The Arvada team recommends that the City Council approve R 26-012, A Resolution Adopting Short-Term Rental Program Rules.

What it covers: the record exactly as the official source publishes it — its identifiers (bill number, session, jurisdiction), its official title and long title, its official summary, its status, its sponsors in published order, every recorded action, every recorded vote, and the link to each official text version — assembled in a fixed canonical form described on the How this data works page.
The fingerprint does not cover our retrieval date (the “Data as of” stamp in the source line): re-fetching unchanged official content produces the same fingerprint, while any change to the official content changes it.
If you recompute the fingerprint from the official source and get a different value, one of us is out of date — please report it through the corrections log.
