The City of Arvada strives to maintain a high quality sanitary sewer network for its residents. To continue providing the highest quality service, the City is responsible for replacing and rehabilitating aging and capacity-limited sanitary sewer infrastructure. The City completed a Sanitary Sewer Master Plan in 2022 and the modeling results indicated that the sanitary trunk sewer in the vicinity of Tennyson St and W 68th Ave exceeds capacity under build out conditions during storm events. The Utilities Team requested proposals from qualified consultants for final design services for the North Trunk Line Segment 8 (NTL8) project. This project entails replacement of the existing 27-inch/30-inch sanitary sewer main with a maximum of 4600 feet of new 42-inch sewer main between W 68th Avenue and Sheridan and W 63rd Dr and Tennyson, along with rehabilitation (lining) of a minimum of 1100 feet of the existing 30-inch sewer main in Tennyson between W 63rd Drive and W 61st Place. Of the proposals received for final design of NTL8, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. was determined to be the best value firm to the City of Arvada, its residents, and visitors. The City recommends that the City Council approve Resolution R26-007, A Resolution Authorizing an Agreement By and Between the City of Arvada and Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for Professional Services Relating to Design of Sanitary Sewer for NTL 8 – W 68th and Sheridan to W 61st Place and Tennyson, Project No. 26-SR-04, in an Amount Not to Exceed $1,355,625.20.
